Sometimes you've just gotta do what you gotta do!

Time away from FROG doesn't occur very often, so with the Easter break looming I had visions of reading a few good books, going to the beach with the kids and doing a bit of catch up cooking for the lunchboxes that are bound to need filling sooner than expected. But as it happens, my computer has been getting a major workout, the freezer is still empty and the beach is still awaiting me, but I'm OK with that because sometimes things are out of your control right?

So the other day I was looking at my beloved little frog shop, Easter egg in hand, and it occurred to me that its been over 4 years since I got our humble little website up and running. On closer inspection I could see the paint peeling off its virtual walls and I realised it was time to bite the bullet and get renovating- and what better time to do it but now, while the doors are closed for Easter.

With my renovating overalls on, and a phone call to my trusty dad (aka 'Saviour of all things technology') it was time to get serious. We backed up the files as required and started window shopping for a fancy new frog shop. The designs available were pretty exciting but I quickly realised that we're a special bunch here at FROG, with special needs.... because we're busy people right!? We don't have time to click from one pop-up window to the next, we want to shop faster than the speed of light, we want to whoosh in, avoid the cues, grab our goodies and get on with life... finding the perfect new shop was proving trickier than I had envisaged, and when a few templates I trialed didn't fit the long list of froggy needs, I started thinking maybe it was time to put down my paint brush and quickly switch back to the old trusty frog shop, pretend that nothing had ever happened...

Except that it had, the new paint was already on the walls and the the old frog shop was nowhere to be seen, demolished forever, never to return... I started to crumble a little. What was right about this that I hadn't got yet?

So thrown in the deep end, I picked up my wet paint brush, and got on with it.... and finally I think things are coming together. It's not 100% perfect yet (but maybe that's a reflection of myself?) but I've enlisted the help of a professional and I'm getting so excited about the new design. There are still a few little things you may notice change over the next short while.. keep an eye out for them- once they're here they'll make shopping a breeze. In the end the finished frog shop will be easier to navigate, you'll quickly be able to fill your shopping cart and whoosh on out of here like the super frog customer that you are!

So RIP old frog shop, I wish I'd taken some pics of you, sadly your memory is fading and I've almost forgotten the colour on your walls. You were a trusty little shop and many have visited your walls, but I hope the new shop can fill the needs of all those that visit it.
